Is it a good idea to I invest and also save money in my offset account / repay additional amount in my mortgage. Wife and I own 1 property and we still have 600k - 27 years left - 6% variable interest. While 12% of salary does go into super and we invest around 2k month, am curious if we should more into investment and make use of the compound interest in long term or redirect the money to close our mortgage faster?

Been a year since I started investing $500 into VESG. Currently, it's at a market rate of ~$91 and I have around 60 units. Hi there, I’ve been thinking about Debt Recycling and have a few questions. I’m weighing four options: 1. Invest 100% in ETFs. 2. Invest 100% in my mortgage offset. 3. Split 50/50 between ETFs and offset. 4, Start debt recycling and invest recycled funds in ETFs. Given that I plan to upsize in 3-5 years, is debt recycling worth it? Can recycled debt be transferred to a new mortgage? Also, is dollar cost averaging practical for debt recycling? Appreciate any thoughts or advice.

I can’t decide between vanguard high growth (Vdhg) or Ishares s&p 500(Ivv)? The Ishares seems to have a much higher estimated return…. But I notice a lot of people recommend vanguard due to its diversity…. I’m in this for the long term eg 10 years and will be regularly contributing Thanks for your help!

Hi folks, I'm new and need advice on asset location. Should I hold Australian or international shares inside super or in a taxable investment account like Pearler? I'm a high-rate taxpayer with a buy-and-hold strategy until retirement. Considering tax on dividends and CGT, I'm thinking of putting VGS in the Vanguard account and Australian shares in super for franking credits. Am I on the right track? Thanks!

Hi there, I'm a 30yo female looking to start investing for the long term. I think I'd like a pretty hands off approach so looking at an automated diversified etf. However, the environment and climate change is important to me and I'm in two minds regards to investing in fossil fuels. Is DZZF a good option for this? It seems that it's not that popular which concerns me? Is splitting between VDGH and DZZF a viable option or is that double dipping in a lot of the same? Thanks for your time and thoughts. Helen

Hi there, I’m currently using Dividend Reinvestment Plans through Computershare to automatically reinvest my dividends, but I’m considering having dividends paid into a cash account and manually reinvesting them instead. Which option is cheaper in terms of fees? I don’t mind the extra step of manual reinvesting if it saves on costs, but if fees are similar, I’d prefer the simplicity of DRP. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Im looking at the following options but feeling lost which is the best one (new investor, doing lots of research at present!) VDHG and VAS VDHG + IVV VDHG- solo IVV and VAS DHHF and IVV DHHF- solo Im 38 years old, will only be contributing relatively small amounts on a regular basis and happy for long term growth of 10 years. *im leaning towards DHHF as it seems to the the recommended one but would love to combine it with something....i love what IVV has as it seems to be the big US companies and also its very high estimated return, but i want to diversify with some Aus shares/etf too which is why im looking at a combo... newbie here! Hi everyone, I’m 25 and new to investing. I’m putting aside $1,000 a month, mostly into A200 because it seems diversified and reliable. I have a few questions: - Is sticking with A200 fine, or should I diversify into other ETFs? - What should I consider when investing, especially without a clear goal? - My portfolio is 80% A200 and 20% CBA. I invest into pearler micro by monthly auto-debit from my bank account. My employer allows salary splitting into multiple account. Since pearler creates an AUD cash account for us, I was wondering if I can get a part of my salary directly deposited into the pearler cash account and auto invested. I asked the pearler support chat the same question but their answer was - "Currently Pearler account can only accept deposits form a users own Bank account, For compliance reasons, we don't generally encourage depositing from multiple different bank accounts". I was wondering if this is just a compliance thing or a hard rule? Has anyone tried this?
