Lower CHESS prices

Our investors have been waiting for this day for some time, and we’re thrilled to reveal the wait is over. That’s right: we’re lowering our brokerage fees on ASX investments by over 30% (and over 40% if you prepay your credits). That equates to a price of $5.50 - $6.50 per investment!

We know this update has taken longer to reach our community than we originally planned. We also appreciate your patience whilst we’ve been working to make this happen over the last few months. That’s why we’ve topped up our investors’ accounts as if we dropped our prices from the end of March. For this reason, you’ll see it under our “March” updates.

Pearler Micro

Along with lower prices, our most exciting release of 2022 so far is Pearler Micro. A low-cost micro-investing platform for first-time investors and veterans alike, Pearler Micro gives you small gains for your spare change.

We all have that friend or relative who wants to invest, but feels daunted by the cost of knowledge barrier. With Pearler Micro, we can guide investors from Day One to the end of their journey to financial independence. For more seasoned investors, it’s an easy way to make small, regular investments without needing to budget. And thanks to our round-up feature, you can add to your portfolio with the change from every purchase you make.

What’s next on Pearler’s to-do list?

Don’t worry: we’re just getting started. Over the next few months, we want to bring more value than ever to our platform and our community. Our aims are two-fold:

(1) Continue to provide quality investing products at accessible prices (2) Better help users manage their wealth and finance education on the platform.

Pearler Roadmap Crypto

Pearler Exchange

In May, we’re going to be launching the journey to financial independence. The sharing of personal finance experiences online has helped spread the Financial Independence Retire Early community. This, in turn, has inspired much of what you see on Pearler today.

We think online forums have been one of the most important levelers for wealth creation in perhaps all of history. And we each share these amazing resources that can help us make sense of this life with money. So let’s just say without the likes of Reddit, FB or Instagram, there would be no Pearler. The Pearler Exchange is our attempt at adding to the evolution of how we share our lives online.

Pearler for Kids

One of the most common trends we’ve seen in the last six months is parents joining Pearler to find easier ways to invest for their kid(s). That’s why we’ve decided to launch a feature which empowers parents to do exactly this. We’ve got some exciting plans in the works, with more to come in the next month or two. If you’re interested in becoming a beta-tester, email us at help@pearler.com

Boring Crypto

A lot of you have asked, and we’ve listened - but with a twist! Pearler will be offering the ability to be exposed to cryptocurrency in 2022, most likely sometime throughout winter. Crypto typically doesn’t sing of boring long-term investing. The markets are turbulent, 24 hours, and relatively unregulated. However, we acknowledge that a little bit of crypto as your speculative or fun exposure is commonplace, and we want to help service that market.

In short, we’re planning for a responsible and measured Crypto product, and we’re excited to embark on this journey with our community. Reach out to our team anytime if you’re curious about this topic or have ideas.

It’s your platform

To wrap up, we’d love to take this opportunity to remind everyone that you are welcome to suggest or upvote features that you want to see on our platform via our feature request board. Our community is the bedrock of Pearler, so have your voice heard to help shape the future of our platform. It’s easy - search for and upvote features you like, or make a new suggestion if you don’t see it there.

As always, happy investing!
