How will a minor's TFN be used on Pearler?

Pearler’s minor accounts are set up with the adult as the primary account holder, holding investments in trust for the child. You can choose to add a TFN for both the adult and the minor for this type of account.
If ASX investments are made on a minor account, the adult’s TFN (if supplied) is what we pass on for any available ATO pre-filling as the default.
If Micro investments are made on a minor account, then the minor's TFN (if provided) will receive any available ATO pre-filling.
As different families may have different needs or preferences, we can update to your preferred TFN when instructed. And of course, it’s always a good idea to speak with a tax professional to make sure everything is set up in the best way for your situation. The ATO also has a helpful explainer on this: Children's share investments.

As details may change, we recommend checking the information directly from the source, including the ATO website. All figures and data in this article were accurate at the time it was published. That said, financial markets, economic conditions and government policies can change quickly, so it's a good idea to double-check the latest info before making any decisions.
