Keeping fees to a minimum
Hi All, I’m super new to this platform so I’m a little overwhelmed. Can anyone tell me how I can keep my Pearler fees to a minimum. Is there a minimum amount I should invest and how often I should do this. For example would I be best to invest 800-1000 once a month so that I receive a lower Pearler fee, or investing 250/wk? I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions and I appreciate any help :)

Hey Shannon.
Definitely waiting longer before you invest is going to be more cost effective from a brokerage standpoint.
1 month is a good increment I reckon – longer than that and it can be hard to wait that long and stay motivated. Invest too often and smaller amounts and brokerage then starts adding up quite a bit.

Hello!
It’s great to hear that you’re starting your investment journey with Pearler! Keeping fees to a minimum is a smart approach, and how you structure your investments can indeed impact the fees you pay.
Pearler’s fee structure is designed to be straightforward and cost-effective, especially for regular investors. Typically, investing a larger amount less frequently (such as $800-$1000 once a month) can be more cost-effective than smaller, more frequent transactions (like $250 per week). This is because each transaction may incur a brokerage fee, so fewer transactions generally mean fewer fees.
For example, if Pearler charges a flat fee per transaction, you would incur this fee each time you make a deposit and purchase shares. Therefore, making one monthly investment rather than four weekly investments could reduce your total monthly fees.

Additionally, it’s worth considering how each investment strategy fits with your financial situation and investment goals. Larger, less frequent investments might also make it easier to time the market or invest in specific stocks you’ve been eyeing when they reach an attractive price.
Since you’re new to the platform, you might also want to explore Pearler’s Micro investing option, which allows you to start building your investment portfolio with as little as $5. This can be a great way to get accustomed to investing without committing a large amount of money upfront.
Remember, it’s important to balance keeping fees low with other factors such as your investment goals, risk tolerance, and the timing of your investments. As you continue on your investment journey with Pearler, feel free to ask more questions and explore all the resources and tools available on the platform to support your decisions.
