Portman Ridge Finance Corporation is an externally managed, non-diversified closed-end investment company. The Company’s investment objective is to generate both current income and capital appreciation through debt and equity investments. Its middle market investment business originates, structures, finances and manages a portfolio of term loans, mezzanine investments and selected equity securities in middle market companies. The Company invests in investments, such as loans to publicly traded companies, high-yield bonds, and distressed debt securities. The Company also invests in debt and subordinated securities issued by collateralized loan obligation funds. In addition, the Company may invest in the equity securities of privately held middle market companies and may also receive warrants or options to purchase common stock in connection with its debt investments. Its investment adviser is Sierra Crest Investment Management LLC, an affiliate of BC Partners Advisors L.P.
