DriveWealth data security incident
Last updated: 25 September 2026
What we know so far
Why DriveWealth has information about you
What was exposed
Name, email address, phone number and postal address.
Tax status (in practice, country of tax residency).
Investment profile (the information you gave Pearler when you signed up — a snapshot of your annual income, net worth and liquid net worth).
The tax file number (TFN) or date of birth of the secondary account holder, if any (only for some joint accounts).
Historic market value snapshot of your US portfolio, if any, but not individual holdings.
A cash balance and buying power snapshot, only of what was in your US account, if anything.
What was not exposed
Pearler login credentials and passwords (we don’t send these to DriveWealth or any partner).
Bank account details.
Identity document details and images, including passports and driver licences.
Individual security positions or trading history.

What we have done, and what happens next
Steps worth taking now
Treat unexpected contact with suspicion, including contact that looks like it is from us. We will never call or message you asking for your password, your PIN or a one-time code. If a message asks you to log in, do not use its link. Open the Pearler app yourself.
Have a look over your Pearler account. Check your holdings, your transfers, and whether any contact or bank details have changed without you.
Make sure we can reach you. If your email address or mobile number is out of date, update it, so that real messages from us get through.
Change your Pearler password if you use the same one anywhere else.
If your TFN or date of birth was involved, consider asking Equifax, Experian and Illion for a free ban or alert on your credit file.
Turn on two-factor or passkey authentication if you have not already. An authenticator app is safer than SMS, which can be intercepted.
