Choosing between more land or a better location for property

My partner and I are trying to figure out what kind of property to buy and it’s not easy to agree. I’m all for getting a place with plenty of land, thinking it’s a smart move for our future—more space could mean more opportunities down the road. My partner is all about location, though. He believes that a house in a good Melbourne suburb is a sure bet for property value, even if the lot isn’t that big in my opinion. Plus, he really wants something that’s ready to live in—no renovation hassles. I’m dreaming about the potential of a big yard, maybe even building on it later, he's all about finding a place that's ready-made in the right suburb. What are your thoughts on the land vs location debate?
