How does the Spending/Personal Money Manager (PMM) feature work on Pearler?
Pearler Spending or Personal Money Manager(PMM) is best for having all your personal money management information within one platform. It starts with connecting your bank accounts via Basiq (OpenBanking) and then being able to access/view your transactions, assign categories to your incoming and outgoing funds, and ultimately help to budget your finances.
It allows a user to get a more detailed view of their money management within their different bank accounts.
You can access this feature by heading to the drop-down menu on your account and clicking on Pearler Spending.
From here, connect with your bank account(s) to sync your transactions.
Once connected, your transactions are automatically identified with the merchants, and you can then categorise each transaction. Additionally, each transaction can be further split and you have the ability to add notes to a particular transaction.
Pearler spending also includes a spending suggestion feature that shows users all the categories of transactions taking place on their connected bank accounts which helps in auto-categorising all your transactions.
The biggest advantage of tracking your transactions using Pearler Spending is the ability to provide you with a budgeting tool. The Pearler Spending/PMM allows you to create a budget, set a limit, and timeframe, and also categorise each budget set.
The feature also helps in viewing any repeated/recurring spending transactions you may have and further deciding if you wish to continue with it to help with your future spending decisions.
Below are some extra features that our team is currently working on to enhance the Pearler Spending app feature.
Note: Some banks or bank accounts may have limitations that prevent an active connection from being made via our integration partner (Basiq).
