The following guide is for transferring AU shares between accounts of the same type (e.g. joint to joint) with the same registration details. Other transfer options include issuer-sponsored share transfers (currently held with a share registry instead of a broker), off-market transfers (OMT) and US Share transfers.

Pearler does not charge any fees for the following transfers.

Please ensure that your account name and address on Pearler match exactly with that of the other broker.

CHESS-sponsored share transfers

If you would like to bring your current HIN (with another broker) over to Pearler, you can select that option during the account opening process.

Transferring a HIN over will transfer all associated holdings and will allow you to retain your share registry logins and any DRP settings.

HINs generally start with an ‘X’ followed by a ten-digit number.

If you want to transfer individual ETFs/shares to your existing pearler HIN, you can do this via your Settings > Transfer shares page. If you are transferring shares between HINs of the same type, account name, address and entity (e.g. both are individual accounts), then Pearler does not charge any transfer fees.

Please note: If you have DRP setup, and you've hit the ex-dividend date recently, we would recommend waiting until dividends are paid out before transferring. Any DRPs will need to be reset following the share transfer.

Custodian share transfers

If your shares are not held under a HIN at your other broker, they are typically held under a custodial arrangement. In most cases, you can still transfer custodially-held shares. Simply enter your customer number when you fill out the form below.

Transferring from Vanguard Personal Investor

To transfer shares from Vanguard, you will have to first get in contact with them for a transfer form. When filling out the form choose the option to transfer via HIN and you can use the details below:
