Can buy or sell shares at a set price?

Yes! Pearler allows you to place limit orders for manual AU & US share orders.

You can place limit orders by specifying a limit price on the "Buy" screen (click "Basic Mode") when making an investment on Pearler.

Most limit orders will remain active as a "Good til cancelled" order (expires after 30 days if not filled). Certain assets i.e. commodity assets have day-only expiry.

With limit orders, the order will attempt to execute when the market price goes below your buy limit price or above your sell limit price.

For a buy order, you would set a price below the current market price to try and get the shares at a cheaper price.

For a sell order, you would enter at a price higher than the current market price to try and get a better sale price.

We can only guarantee the price and not the execution of limit orders.

If the order hasn't started to execute, you have the option to cancel and replace the order as a market order or with a different limit price if you wish.

What's the difference between a market order and a limit order?

Why is my order pending / not executed yet?

There are certain assets where market orders are unavailable due to the potential high volatility of the final order price, in which case we enforce a limit order.
