Though the Pearler tax return guide (https://pearler.com/tax-return) is quite handy for the Individual tax return, for my SMSF need through my Tax Accountant 'need' for his automated accounting system, I would 'wish' Pearler add the CSV / XLSX option in addition PDF file for the EOFY Reports of Share Transaction, Cash Transaction and Holding Balance at 30/06/2024 eg. Currently I have to request Pearler help to generate the requested reports at EOFY time. My tax report need is similar to others (like Manfred) who are holding SMSF as long term investment with Pearler. We'd love Pearler have other Report features which have been implemented in other competitors (such as Stake and Self-Wealth...)

An API with investment and accounting software from BLG - Simple Invest/Fund 360 would really help with DIY at tax time.

I would love an annual tax statement (happy to pay!). When it comes time to sell ETF’s in future I’d like to be able to easily determine CGT liability using the FIFO method, and an annual report would be great for this. I believe Vanguard Personal Investor provides a tax statement which applies the FIFO method to calculate CGT which is very useful for long term investors. Unfortunately integration with Sharesight isn’t perfect, particularly when it comes to tracking DRP purchases (unit numbers are inaccurate between Sharesight and Pearler), so a Pearler-built statement might solve these issues!

This would be fantastic able to download holding/transactions report dividend payments/reinvestment all within the app/website. Even if those want to use it straight from Pearler for their tax or use it to import it in to another stock market tool eg Sharesight

My shares are held in an SMSF. As such, my accountant must have a Portfolio Valuation report at the end of every financial year not just to complete the tax return, but also for mandatory audit purposes. The report that was generated for me after I sent a help request seems to fit the bill nicely, but I was advised I would have to request it each and every time I need one! In these days of tax compliance, this and the Transaction Statement reports should be standard reporting from any share broking platform.

It will be great to be able to download a holding transaction report (.csv or .pdf) straight from Pearler that includes dividend reinvestment adjustments. At the moment, I am having major trouble with Sharesight as I just realised that had been discrepancies in the number of share units owned on Pearler and Sharesight, most probably due to discrepancies in dividend reinvestment allocation. I don't mind manually adjusting the data on Sharesight, but it feels like serious double handling. If only there were a way to export the holding report straight from Pearler.

Downloading transactions and current holdings will help import into Sharesight, or another tool. Especially useful for calculating all sorts of income tax and capital gains tax reports and many other types of financial analysis that people like to do.

Like to have the Filter at both the Transaction submenus (Reports and History). Adding Reports in CSV format would be saving Back end support time to generate them at year end. Other features (Dividends and list of AMIT statements like myGov so the Reports could be given to accountant.(simliar to Daniel's request before)

It would be nice to be able to generate an EOFY statement like all of the other brokers that I have dealt with in the past to reference for my tax accountant. It's just that with Sharesight or a share registry like Computershare, they couple together your holdings from multiple brokers, e.g., if I have units in VGS with two different brokers they have them all as one so I can't differentiate between each broker. Just a thought for a Pearler business improvement. I love what Pearler is doing for the investing community, keep up the great work that you all do. I also want to show appreciation for Vinit for his help and going above and beyond with the information he provided to me.

This is a great feature for Individual and SMSF account as well. I was shown the Transaction Account as Experimental Features by Vinit from Pearler. It might be still under Beta testing but it looks good and is a helper in Tax time (2022 and later). For others who wants Portfolio Valuation, I was also told by Vinit that Pearler could provide the report too as a special request from the Pearler customer in need. I hope Pearler will make this feature available in the future without asking the request from customer.

Hi MC, Where/when can I download the transaction for my account, need it for income tax in FY2022. I think this is very basic function from share broker, like my account with CBA or vanguard etc.

All I need is a cash account statement for the financial year . That is a transaction listing with a balance column so that the opening and closing balance for the financial year is clear. The transaction download shows all transactions but it does not provide a closing cash balance. The account is zero interest so no interest summary required.

Agreed +1 from me too. Also, some info on how having brokerage prepaid will affect accuracy of reporting at tax time, as some people have mentioned that the brokerage fee shows as zero in your purchase order if you have prepaid brokerage credits. This confuses me a little…

Especially for ‘Micro’ investment this would be awesome! as the individual transactions / emails can’t be used in Sharesight from my understanding

This would be fantastic - this will be the first tax return my partner and I have to complete since we started investing last year, and we are already starting to think about what we need to do, how we are supposed to do it, how to make sure we get it right etc.

Very handy in order to beat other robo advisors like stockspot who market their product based on this feature as one of the winners to use them.
