Data Scientist
We're looking for an analytical and product-oriented data scientist who is motivated to help our product and marketing teams make better data-led decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to create material impact by applying your skills to a number of critical initiatives to ensure that no stone is left unturned when it comes to analysing and understanding our customers.
Your responsibilities include
- Working with our product managers to support discovery and planning to ensure we unlock hidden customer behaviours.

Your skills should include
- At least 1 year working as a data scientist in a team that contains product-thinkers and engineers.
- Experience with SQL, particularly in the form of complex queries on dozens of operational tables
- A keen understanding for how to utilise tools such as Superset, Amplitude, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Experience using visualisations to convey and articulate meaning
Senior Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of features across our stack.
- Architecture & Design: Lead technical design, making critical decisions about system architecture and data flow.
- Balancing Speed and Quality: Able to correctly identify how to approach technical and product problems in ways that balance a high quality robust outcome whilst also moving at a fast pace.
- Product Ownership: Taking proactive responsibility to assist the customer service and design teams in solving problems or making improvements to our app.
Target Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a senior, lead, or architect-level capacity.
- Worked for more than 6 months in a company of with less than 50 staff members.
- Expertise in fundamental computer science principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proven experience in designing and building fault-tolerant systems, leveraging cloud technologies (e.g., AWS).
- Solid understanding of modern SQL database systems and API design principles (REST, GraphQL).
- Solid understanding of ReactJS (Next.js) and React Native.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts.
Compensation Range
- $150,000 p.a. to $200,000 p.a.
Mid-level Software Engineer

Growth Marketer
We’re searching for a Growth Marketer to join Pearler’s Growth and Marketing team. Working alongside our internal marketing, product, engineering teams and external agencies/resources/. you’ll find ways to scale our growth and bring our campaigns to life. Reporting to the CMO you’ll manage a range of growth initiatives designed to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You'll have the autonomy to innovate and the support to execute, making a direct impact on our growth trajectory. Your role will involve close collaboration with founders, engineers and content creators to ensure that growth strategies align with overall business objectives.
Your responsibilities include
- Strategise and execute data-driven user acquisition strategies across a variety of channels
- From ideation to execution, work with the team and manage the roll out of marketing and growth campaigns
- Identify and test new growth ideas across all stages of the user journey
- Leverage your analytics skills to deliver performance insight
- Manage and optimise paid media campaigns for Facebook, Google Search, YouTube etc.
- Work with our brand partners to maximise our partnership across their and our owned channels
- Improve onboarding, activation, and retention of our users through engagement channels, including email, in-app/push, and content marketing.
- Conduct A/B tests and experiment with different user acquisition strategies to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement;
Your skills should include
- 3+ years of work experience in a high performance environment with existing growth/marketing experience. Experience working in high growth tech/startups is a plus.
- Strong communicator who has experience working with product and engineering teams
- Highly creative, identifying and acting on new growth and optimisation opportunities
- Driven, self-starter who has a keen appetite for professional growth
- Experience working with CRMs and managing email campaigns
- Experience in A/B testing, funnel and landing page optimisation, and data analysis
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Additional skills and experience around design, content, marketing channels (e.g. PPC, SEO), analytics or coding are a plus
- General everyday awareness of social media trends and channels is a must
- While the role is a remote position, the ideal candidate is based in Sydney to benefit from in person time with the team on an ad hoc basis
