Why is there a Cuscal Limited bank account number associated with my investments?
At pearler, customer funds are processed via our payments processing partner Zepto. Zepto provides Pearler with demarcation services and the ability to reconcile customer funds through the issuance of unique BSB and account numbers so you can deposit funds to invest.
Zepto utilises a settlement account for the undertaking and processing of transactions. This settlement account is held in Zepto’s name with Zepto’s banking partner, Cuscal Limited.
When your Pearler BSB and account number is provided to third parties (such as a share registry), it may appear as a Cuscal Limited account due to Cuscal Limited being the financial institution associated with the settlement account held by Zepto. We have a direct relationship with Zepto.
These cash account details are sent to the responsible share registry when you make your first investment into a new stock. This way, any dividends you receive can be paid into your Pearler account.
You may receive a notification from your share registry that your banking details have been updated by your broker. If you wish to confirm it is in fact your Pearler BSB & account number on the notification, please check your Settings > Deposit options page.
