Do I need to set Dividend Reinvestment in pearler when it is set up elsewhere?
Hey folks - I see there is an option on the settings to auto invest any dividends automatically - as I have already set this up with computershare I assume I don't need to redo this on the platform - are there any benefits to this approach that I am missing ( or do some of the equities not have this capability? )

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for clarifying this and I’m assuming you are referring to this function ⬇️
Enabling this function simply transfers the dividend cash payments that come into Pearler straight into your Autoinvest cash account to go towards triggering your Autoinvest.
Any dividend preferences still need to be set by logging into the responsible share registry. This includes activating dividend reinvestment (DRP).
Any reinvestments that are made by the share registry will be reflected in your holdings and viewable on Pearler. They first appear in your Pearler account as an increase in the number of units you hold. About a day later they appear as an item on your Transactions page. We report all your shares held under your HIN, however, if your dividends have not yet accumulated enough to purchase additional units, the payouts will be held with the registry until that happens.
