Pearler MCP Connector
Pearler's MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector lets you ask an AI assistant questions about your own Pearler account - like your current holdings, cash balance, or what's available to invest in - directly from a conversation. The assistant only sees the data you explicitly approve, and this connector cannot place a trade, move money, or change anything on your account.
What it can do
Every tool this connector exposes is read-only - a connected assistant can't execute a trade, move money, or change any account details on your behalf. Some tools can hand back a link to the Pearler website pre-filled with an order or automation you asked about, but you always have to open that link yourself and review and confirm the details on pearler.com before anything happens.
- Get account summary - the type, name, and cash balance of each of your trading accounts, and which Pearler products (ASX/US shares, Micro, Self-Directed Super, HomeSoon) are linked to each.
- Get holdings - your ASX and US share holdings across all your trading accounts, including quantity and current market value.
- Get balance - your cash balance for each of your trading accounts.
- Search assets - explore the ASX and US shares available to invest in on Pearler, with filters by sector, category, and sorting (e.g. highest dividend yield, market cap, or price growth). This only searches the general investable universe - it doesn't return anything about your own account. (Get assets is an older, narrower version of this same search kept only for backwards compatibility - new connectors should use Search assets.)
- Get assets by tickers - look up specific ASX or US shares by their exact ticker, e.g. ones already named earlier in the conversation. Use Search assets instead when you want to filter, sort, or discover something new.
- Get eligible trading accounts - check which of your trading accounts can trade a given ASX or US asset.
- Get automations - your existing named Automates across all your trading accounts, including type, active/paused state, and target portfolio composition where applicable.
- Get order link - generate a link back to pearler.com to place a buy or sell order, optionally pre-filled with an amount, account, limit price, or scheduled date. This only produces a link - it never places the order itself.
- Get automate link - generate a link back to pearler.com to set up a new Automate (recurring investing, micro round-ups, dividend reinvestment management, deposits, or super automations), optionally pre-filled with an amount, account, or frequency. This only produces a link - it never creates the automation itself.
How authentication and consent work
Connecting requires you to log in with your own Pearler credentials, the same as logging into the Pearler website. Before any data is shared, you're shown a consent screen that names exactly what's being requested, which you can choose to approve or deny.
Access tokens are short-lived (valid for one hour at a time) and are automatically refreshed only while the connection remains active, for up to 90 days. You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the connector from within the app you connected it to, or by contacting our support team.
Data handling and privacy
Each tool only returns the specific data needed to answer that request - for example, asking about your balance doesn't expose your holdings. This connector has no access to your conversation history or memory in the app you're using, and no Pearler account data is shared beyond what a tool call explicitly returns. For full detail on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Example prompts
- "What are my current share holdings?"
- "How much cash do I have across my trading accounts?"
- "Search for ASX-listed ETFs I could invest in."
- "Give me a link to buy $500 of VAS."
- "Set up an Automate to invest $50 a week into my shares account."
Connecting from Claude
In Claude, add a custom connector using the URL https://pearler.com/mcp, then log in with your Pearler account and approve the consent screen when prompted.
Connecting from ChatGPT
Pearler's connector works the same way in ChatGPT - it's the same read-only tools, the same login, and the same consent screen described above. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer Mode from Settings, then add a new connector using the URL https://pearler.com/mcp. Log in with your Pearler account and approve the consent screen when prompted.
