Your dashboard gives you a picture of your historical (since your first investment) investment performance by tracking key metrics related to your holdings. Here's what each value means and how it's calculated for each investment.

Is the share price real-time?

Your Total Net Wealth

By default, this includes the total value of all assets you can see on your Dashboard (deposited cash, investments, linked personal bank account balances, manually added assets).

How can I manage my portfolio and customise my dashboard on Pearler?

  • Growth $ Formula: Sum of every asset's Capital Growth

  • Growth % Formula: 100 * (Sum of every asset's Capital Growth / Sum of every asset's Cost Basis)

Our Calculations & Formulas

Current Value

The total value of the investment based on the end-of-day market data.

  • Formula: Current Price * Units Held

Capital Growth ($)

Your total profit excluding dividends and DRP.

  • Formula: (Current Value - Cost Basis)

    See Cost Basis calculations below

Dividend paid

The dividends you’ve received in cash or through DRP transfers into Pearler. If you are subscribed to Pearler premium, we include all dividends, including those that are not reflected on Pearler.

  • Formula: Sum(Cash Dividends paid to Pearler) + DRP

Gross Profit ($)

Your total profit, including asset growth and dividends, in dollar value.

  • Formula: (Current Value - Cost Basis + Sum(Cash Dividends + DRP))

Growth (%)

Your asset’s percentage growth based on the total buy value.

  • Formula: (Current Value - Cost Basis + Dividend paid) / Cost Basis

Number of units

This is the number of shares you currently own.

Avg Purchase Price

The average price per share based on your buys and transfers in.

  • Formula: (Sum(Past Buy Transactions {units bought x unit price}) + Sum(All Transfer Type In and Out)) / Sum of units bought and transferred

Current price

The current unit price based on the end-of-day market data for your asset.

Cost Basis

The total cost of your purchases and transfers, minus any sales.

  • Formula: Sum(Past Buys {units bought x unit price}) + Sum(All Transfer Types In and Out ) + Sum(Sales {units sold x unit price}) + Sum(Pending non limit order transactions)

If cost basis is negative, we don't display a gross profit % figure.

Net Fees

The total fees you’ve paid in brokerage and FX fees (FX fees apply only to US assets).

  • Formula: Sum(Brokerage Fees) + Sum(FX Fees)

% of net wealth

The % of your total net wealth (not including any excluded assets) that this asset/category represents.

What happens with ETFs/shares that have been transferred to Pearler?

We use the last known asset market price as the average buy price since we don’t have access to previous transaction details from other platforms and you can edit this by going to your Transactions page and clicking on the relevant asset transfer item to paint a better picture of its performance for wealth tracking purposes.

I've completely sold an ETF/share and have then re-bought, how do I see performance figures for the latest buys ONLY?

If you've completely sold a certain assets on Pearler previously and then re-bought again, you should be able to reset the performance data for that asset by clicking on it from your Dashboard > edit (pencil icon), so you can update the tracking to a date after your last complete sell-off. The default option would be to include all historical buys and sells, which may affect your performance data if you are only interested in tracking the latest figures.
