Investing amount as beginner

How much should I start investing coming from someone who is starting out? And what ETF are best to invest and hold?

Hi Rita.

There’s no set amount that you should start with. If you’re wanting to buy ETFs though, it will mean you need to buy in chunks of at least $500 each time. And if you want to save a bit on brokerage costs, you might want to wait until you have $1,000 to invest each time.

As for what to invest in, you’ll have to decide that yourself – we can’t give you advice. But I’d say to take a look on the Shares page at the most popular ETFs for further investigation: https://pearler.com/explore/invest/shares
